Character bio:

Dusty was always into obscure things as a kid, preferring to stay away from things that were generally more popular, having experienced it when encountering either games or shows that nobody else knew of and absolutely falling in love with them. Although this caused him to grow into a bit of an elitist, never really growing out of it until his late teens, but still falls into the habit from time to time. Lived in Minnesota until he was an adult, and visited Canada on several occasions due to it being close by, often getting exposed to a lot of things unique to there, mainly their music via the radio. In 2003 he first got online, mostly just using it as a way to download and find a bunch of new music, especially with the advent of Myspace and tons of musicians starting out on there, usually preferring to stick to more recent and unknown acts, but often getting let down when they either aren't good or don't take off in the slightest. He had hopes of one day becoming a famous musician or at least being part of a band, but ultimately decided against it after hearing how hostile the industry is, especially to more indie artists, so he prefers to just record his own songs and put them out on the internet. After he turned 18, he moved to go to college, both allowing him to find other like-minded people, along with Cinnamon, who he quickly become good friends with, before ultimately dating her a year after being friends, the two not really running into any issues or clashing with each other despite their distinct tastes and personalities, with Dusty often getting Cinnamon into stuff he likes, and vice versa, Dusty having gotten a DS mainly to play games with Cinnamon, despite owning an Xbox and not being into Nintendo. Dusty had also become friends with Samantha while in college, with him meeting Mocha who was a friend of Samantha's too, the three of them forming a friend group, which grew to four when Flynn moved overseas, the four of them often doing things together and going out, sometimes with Cinnamon tagging along.

Character trivia:

• Meta Trivia: Dusty was originally gonna be a maned wolf, and his hair is loosely based off my own hairstyle.
• Often joked that he's essentially Canadian given he was from Minnesota, combined with his accent.
• Nearly got hearing damage from forgetting to put on headphones/earplugs before going to a shoegaze concert.
• Has ADHD, but nobody ever told him that he had it.
